Hoya wayetii is an interesting Hoya, sporting narrow, thick leaves with a dark margin around the edges which can turn red when the plant is given more light. Many hoyas are well known for their blooms, and Hoya wayetii eventually produces flowers that appear like small red balls held in a cluster. Though this particular species is not a heavy bloomer, the interesting leaves make up for it! Hoya wayetti makes a great statement as a hanging or climbing vine.
• Light: Bright, indirect light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Water when the top 1-2” of soil feels dry
• Considerations: Use a well-draining soil, and select a planter with drainage. Pet friendly!
